Autoplot for macOS

Unify data analysis, plotting, and publishing in one powerful workspace.

Create power-law fits, CCDFs, finite-size-scaling collapses, heat maps, correlation matrices and other advanced analysis without the copy paste hassle. Edit and publish, and iterate on plots with pixel-perfect annotations with a click.

Why Autoplot

Stop spending more time on overhead
than on the science.

Move from endless copy-paste cycles with no persistence to a unified workspace that imports, cleans, analyzes, and plots your data with reproducibility and full data privacy.

Workflow

Import, analyze, plot, publish — one workspace.

Nothing to copy. Nothing to upload. Nothing to redo.

  1. Import

Pull in local or SFTP files, preview the parse, and name analysis-ready variables.

  2. Analyze

Run a 1-click analysis (see the list), or have AI write the Python — without sharing your data.

  3. Plot

Your result becomes a figure in the same app — restyle and recolor without re-running.

  4. Export

Export as image, vector PDF, composed panel, or reproducible Python.

Tools

From a quick scatter to a finite-size-scaling collapse.

The full surface set - distributions, fits, scaling collapses, heat maps, correlations - reachable from a card or a plain-language request, with raw values never leaving your Mac.

Assistant

An assistant that works inside your workspace

Conversational help that respects the data boundary — and drives the whole toolkit.

  1. Your data stays local

Reads your intent and schema, never your raw values — you confirm before anything runs. Data privacy

  2. An open-weights model that doesn't train on you

An open-weights model that never trains on your inputs — not a frontier chatbot.

  3. Drives any analysis, just by asking

Reach any Autoplot surface in plain language, then confirm and run it locally.

  4. No copy-pasting between tools

Runs in the workspace — no shuttling data and code to a separate chatbot.

Export

Export without re-doing the work

Change a card and the figure follows — no re-running a script, no third-party tools.

  1. Print-ready formats

Vector PDF at journal DPI with embedded fonts, plus PNG and JPG.

  2. Annotate in the app

Labels and callouts live with the figure and move when you re-style.

  3. Compose multi-panel figures

Assemble panels into one paper-backed board, exported as a single figure.

  4. Reproducible Python

Export the whole analysis as runnable Python and Matplotlib.

Mac-native

A real Mac app, not a port

Native SwiftUI on Apple Silicon, the scientific Python stack running inside the app, and a privacy roadmap that keeps your raw data yours even when a request needs the cloud.

Native

Native SwiftUI for Apple Silicon

Fast, local, document-based projects - a true Mac app, not a web page in a window.

Engine

The Python stack, in-app

A persistent in-app Python engine - SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, pandas - the tools you already trust, with no environment to set up.

Local-first

Works offline

Everything runs on your Mac. The network is only for the optional hosted assistant, your account, and billing.

On the roadmap - building now

Apple Private Cloud Compute

We're moving the hosted assistant onto Apple's Private Cloud Compute - the architecture behind Apple Intelligence. When a prompt is too big for the on-device model, it runs on stateless Apple-silicon servers that retain nothing, allow no privileged access, are cryptographically verifiable, and can't be targeted at an individual. The result: on-device-grade privacy for your data even when it leaves the Mac.

Built for

The same workstation, three jobs.

What changes is the output target: a thesis figure on a deadline, a manuscript panel that has to survive review, or analysis that cannot leave a controlled network.

Thesis-quality without the detour

Import the lab CSV, name the useful variables, build an X&Y plot or histogram, and export a vector PDF before the deadline becomes the whole analysis.

A bridge back to code

Use the app to find the right analysis shape, then copy the assistant's Python/Matplotlib when the code itself needs to be learned, modified, or submitted.

Pricing

Free for the basics. Plus for the full toolkit. Pro for heavier assistant use.

Free covers the essentials: X&Y plots, histograms with fits, PDF / log-binned / power-law analysis, project save/load, and vector PDF export, with a small hosted-assistant allowance.

Plus opens the rest of the analysis surfaces. Pro adds higher assistant volume on top. Public price and credit numbers are pending until the credit model is locked.
