Can I download Autoplot now?
Yes. The v1 Mac build is available as a direct download.
Is Free a trial?
No. Free is permanent. It includes X&Y plots, histograms with fits, PDF / log-binned / power-law analysis, vector PDF export, project save/load, and 10 hosted-AI credits per month.
What is the difference between Plus and Pro?
Plus is the feature tier: it opens the analysis surfaces not included in Free and keeps the same 10 hosted-AI credits as Free. Pro includes Plus and raises the hosted-AI cap to 1000 credits per month.
Can I use Autoplot offline?
Yes. The local toolkit works without an internet connection. Only hosted assistant, account, waitlist, and billing paths need network access.
Can I disable the assistant?
Yes. Disabling the assistant does not remove the non-AI toolkit.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No. Your raw data never reaches the AI layer. The assistant sees your intent and dataset schema, not the values.
Do you offer academic discounts?
Not at launch. Pricing is uniform while we learn what the real usage pattern looks like.
What am I actually paying for?
The local features cost us nothing per use once the app is on your machine. Plus pays for a broader local toolkit: more analysis surfaces, more specialized plots, and Compose.
The assistant is different. Every hosted operation costs real model money. Pro pays for higher assistant volume, not for access to your own local files.
Why credits, not messages?
Different assistant jobs cost differently. A quick distribution request is not the same as a multi-step analysis with fits and generated scripts. Credits let the public pricing match the work more honestly than a raw message count.
